The Auckland Project are excited to announce their first ever Summer Fest event, featuring a range of live music, theatre and outdoor cinema. On this night, we welcome Majesty!
The UK’s premiere touring Queen tribute band, Majesty have been entertaining audiences across the world for the past ten years and are acclaimed for their electrifying recreation of Queen’s iconic live performances.
With outstanding musicianship and high energy, Majesty create “a kind of magic” as they perform all the greatest hits from the greatest rock band in the world. Actor and musician Rob Lea, who is renowned for his incredible showmanship and powerful vocal skills, brings the role of the legendary Freddie Mercury to life in a spectacular show that is “guaranteed to blow your mind!”
Get ready to “break free” and immerse yourself in hit after hit, including We Will Rock You, Another One Bites the Dust, Killer Queen, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and many more.
What is Summer Fest?
Summer Fest is a month-long event at Auckland Castle, happening on weekends between 22nd June – 20th July. Featuring a range of musical performances, family theatre and outdoor cinema, this special evening event takes place on the Bowling Green beside the castle.
What happens in bad weather?
It may become necessary to cancel the event if the weather makes it unsafe. If we do have to do this, the decision will be made as early as possible so that we can let people know before they arrive. If we do have to cancel, we will inform you of the best way to proceed with your purchased ticket.
What should I wear/bring?
This is an outdoor event on a lawn so please dress accordingly and feel free to bring a blanket or chairs.
Is there food and drink available onsite?
You are welcome to bring your own food, and there will also be food and drink outlets at the event as well. Please note, we only accept card payments.
Is parking available?
Parking for this event will be at the North Bond Gate car park at 33 N Bondgate, Bishop Auckland DL14 7PG. There are electric car charging points available.
When should I arrive?
Doors will open 30 minutes before the performance starts and we kindly request that all guests are seated five minutes before the start time.
