Weardale Railway
Take a ride on the historic Weardale Railway.
Wednesday and Saturday services leaving Stanhope Station at 11am, 1pm and 3pm returning from Wolsingham Station at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
Embark on the 6-mile journey from Stanhope to Wolsingham, with stops at Frosterley and Kingfisher along the route. Admire the stunning scenery of Weardale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and visit the historic market towns of Stanhope and Wolsingham.
The seasonal passenger services are operated by the Weardale Railway Trust using heritage 1960s diesel multiple units.
They currently offer three Wednesday and Saturday services leaving Stanhope Station at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, with the return trips leaving Wolsingham Station at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
Tickets are available on the day from Stanhope Station and on the train.
