Volunteers Week

The Auckland Project will be celebrating Volunteers Week from 1-7 June, to recognise and thank all the volunteers who gift their time to The Auckland Project.

The Auckland Project is grateful for the support of almost 300 volunteers in a variety of roles.

Over 100 volunteers will attend a celebration event on the evening of 2 June, where their achievements will be recognised by The Auckland Project team.

The Auckland Project will also be promoting the benefits of volunteering throughout the week. The Volunteering team will be available in Auckland Tower on Thursday 1 and Saturday 3 June to answer questions about volunteering and to introduce prospective volunteers to existing volunteers in The Auckland Project’s attractions.

Michele Armstrong, Head of Volunteering at The Auckland Project, said: “We couldn’t do what we do without the team of volunteers at The Auckland Project, who support many departments across all our sites, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

“Volunteering at The Auckland Project gives volunteers a unique opportunity to gain experience within a range of heritage attractions, including galleries, gardens, museums and much more. It is a great way to immerse yourself in history, heritage, art and culture, learn new skills and make friends. I would encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to come along and find out more.”
