SUMMER FUN FOR THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS Thursday, 21 July 2016
Lovers of the great outdoors have plenty to look forward to at Auckland Castle this summer.
From alfresco games on the lawn to guided walks, open air theatre and the chance to explore the picturesque 200 acre medieval deer park with its woodland paths, shady glades, and abundant wildlife, there is something for everyone to enjoy between 22 July and 4 September.
And, for those inevitable rainy days there will be plenty of opportunities for indoor adventures too, including weekly family tours every Thursday during the holidays, as well as a series of art-inspired workshops.
Louise Strong, Auckland Castle’s Events Manager, said: “The long summer holidays can be a real challenge for parents. How do you keep children entertained for six long weeks?
“But come rain or shine we have lots of family friendly activities and events planned for the coming weeks, many of which are free with admission to Auckland Castle.”
