The Auckland Project offers creative and immersive workshops and educational visits for Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools across our unique range of visitor attractions.

Sessions are based on a multisensory, object-based approach and can be adapted to meet the needs of students and teachers, including students with SEND.

For students aged 14+, we also offer work placements throughout the year and across a range of departments and attractions.

If you are interested in visiting one of our attractions with a secondary group, please contact us discuss how we can help you make the most of your day, or if you would like to learn more about our TAP Feeder Schools programme.

TAP Feeder Schools Programme

Our TAP Feeder Schools Programme represents a unique opportunity for secondary schools to embed our offer across the curriculum and enable children and young people to make the most of The Auckland Project’s sites, stories and collections.

As part of the programme, schools can access 20 half day visits across the school year, alongside specialist support for teachers to help them fully embed our unique selection of resources across their programmes of study. Teachers can even lead their own sessions in The Auckland Project’s visitor attractions, facilitated by The Auckland Project’s Learning and Skills team.

Other benefits include:

• Exclusive access to attractions on the day you visit – no other schools visiting the same attraction.
• Option to book sessions on days when The Auckland Project is closed to the public (subject to availability).

Work Placements

Work placements are available across a range of department for students aged 14+ who are looking to enhance their skills and gain experience of the workplace.
All students participating in our work placement programme will work directly with our Work Placement Co-ordinator to ensure they are able to make the most of their time with us.
