Join the team Jobs in heritage, history, and culture
Are you looking for a new role in the heritage sector, or simply looking to work somewhere steeped in history and surrounded by friendly, interesting people? Well then, hopefully your search is at an end!
Working at The Auckland Project
Working for The Auckland Project means putting yourself right at the heart of conserving and championing history and culture in the North East. This could mean anything from HR to finance, running a railway to cooking locally sourced meals – we need all sorts to keep telling the amazing stories from the area’s heritage.
We’re a relatively small team with a lot of history behind us, so we’re always on the lookout for passionate, enthusiastic people to join our The Auckland Project.
All current roles are advertised here. We have a fantastic volunteering programme for anyone wanting to get involved with The Auckland Project – it's a great way to get to know us.

How to apply for our vacancies
If you’re looking for a new experience, want to learn new skills, or meet new people, then our volunteering programme may be right up your street. Volunteering is a great way to get into the heritage sector and immerse yourself in the day-to-day running of such an important historical site. We couldn’t do what we do without our team of volunteers, who help out over many departments and across all our sites.
